Very good heater, I got two of those, the only drawback is that one of them is noisy - makes the click click sound when stops heating. Otherwise - perfect. It helped to reduce drastically the exorbitant gas bills I was getting this winter.
No leaks, no smells. It works in enclosed spaces, don't expect miracles in open spaces.
Get with confidence, the real price should be around $50, but beware that A.....n manipulates with the price - they raised it from $50-ties to $80ties last winter.

For quite a while we had used this heater in a basement area to keep pipes from freezing and it worked well for a long time. Unfortunately, the pipes did freeze and it didn't survive getting wet (the GFCI flipped but didn't save it). It wasn't that the heater failed ... it is just that it is rather small, take a close look at the size (7"x18"x15"). So the day it died was due to an uncommonly cold wind that didn't lower the temperature of the basement enough for the antifreeze to come on, but froze and eventually shattered the pipes right at the floor joists.
Because it was oil-filled we didn't want to put it up on anything more than 2 x 10 to keep it off the floor, so be sure about how you want to use it before you buy it. It does very well in the right application.
Again worked great ... but small in size (which is a plus in some applications) so the thermostat could be too far from where you wanted it.

Purchased to help me get through a cold bedroom through the winter, the timer on this broke within 3 days, turning it into just another oil heater. Where to return it, once bought through Amazon? And why pay the shipping to return? The experience has reminded me that Buying Local is ALWAYS a better deal. Dang it ! I was really looking forward to this one.

I purchased one of these two years ago then a 2nd unit last year. They are heavy little units but work exceptionally well for back-up heat or when you don't want to run the central unit. Whisper quiet, they are able to heat an average size room to the point of discomfort within a short period of time. Great price, solid construction, durable and quiet. Totally pleased by this purchase...just keep in mind, we are in the sunshine state so heat isn't as burdened as it would be up north.
