If you have a problem with the unit, your life will become a nightmare. I have tried on and off for over a year to obtain a part for my Delonghi Dehumidifier. They do not sell parts to consumers, instead trying to get you to mail the heavy device to one of their repair centers usually very far away. Third-party parts people I have spoken with were specifically banned from selling the part to consumers, though Delonghi officially claims this isn't so. All in all, I think I have wasted over a day of my life trying to get a small, simple replacement part for my unit. I will never purchase a Delonghi product again. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand.

I have 4 or 5 heaters in my house and this one is my favorite. During the winter when the boiler cracked and my house dipped to 45 degrees (indoors) while waiting for a replacement, I went overboard and hoarded all the positively reviewed heaters I could find. This one was the best.

Smell
A smell was emitted from the heater for the first few days. I'm assuming it was the oil. It wasn't overpowering, just annoying. After a few days it dissipated. It will warm the entire room to an even, warm temperature and you're not distracted by the buzzing of fans. It's a great price for the comfort of staying warm during the bitter cold.

This is the second DeLonghi radiator I have bought. It would be nice if the specifications included the instructions manual. This unit does not allow you to select a temperature, however has a dial with number settings. The comfort temperature is controled by one button/one setting and seems to max around 75 degrees which is too warm for my comfort. I bought this unit for my daughter's bedroom, however it would be better suited for a much larger room or basement. I rarely have it set above its lowest warming setting. I would certainly recommend DeLonghi to anyone shopping for radiator to keep one room warmer without paying to heat the entire house.

nice unit. keeps us from running the big house heater. probably won't work at the north pole, but in Florida it's ok.

Have higher end DeLonghi and there is no smell, otherwise works fine for room heating.
