Electric baseboard heaters uses convection to circulate air. By superior design and proper placement under a window area, the electric baseboard case causes air to flow naturally. The cold air falls from the window area as the warm air rises from the heater, causing the air to tumble gently throughout the room. The electric baseboard heater is the number one choice for low cost installation, and the quiet operation makes it the preferred heater for bedrooms.
The best location to install a electric baseboard heater is when placed under a window and at least 1" from furniture or other objects. Keep at least 12" minimum from objects hanging above. The electric baseboard heater may be placed directly on the floor and mounted to the wall, but not below electrical outlets. (National Electric Code)

A matching single or double pole thermostat is available to install into either end of the baseboard heater. Since an electrical outlet may not be installed above a heater, use a duplex outlet (BRF12) in either end of the baseboard. To switch between the baseboard heater and a cooling unit, the LTF240 can be utilized. Inside corner connectors are available to fit various designs, such as corner window areas. All baseboard heaters require a thermostat. An optional MTX mounting tool is helpful for installing the heater.

This product is average. It is not as solid and sturdy as older models and has a humming noize, something not present in the older version.

After searching the local home improvement stores, I ordered this heater in Almond from Amazon.com. Apparently, all of the local stores carried other brands that only came in white or would not order an off-white color even if available.
The heater was fairly easy to install, but the length did cause some handling problems that some wooden blocks took care of. After installation, the heater did have a pronounced "hum" that the Cadet website says is rare and that it can be exchanged at the local store. Well, this turns out to be a problem with web orders! The people at ace hardwareoutlet.com were helpful to resolve this issue and I just received the replacement unit that is waiting to be installed.
